Provides 2500psi system pressure. RAT RPM appears on the ECAM HYD page when rotation speed is above 100rpm. Minimum airspeed for the RAT is 140 kts.

Deployment

Manual	press the RAT MAN ON pushbutton
Automatic (controlled by HSMU)	- if both engines fail - low level in the green and yellow hydraulic reservoirs - low level in the green and blue hydraulic reservoirs

The RAT must not be deployed on the ground.

When deployed, the outboard ailerons go to damping mode to reduce demand. This will cause aileron up-float.

Can only be done on the ground.
