There are 2 ECMUs, each controlling its side of the electrical bus, which reconfigure depending on which power sources are available. They provide:

• AC and DC contactor control
• galley shedding control
• NBPT control
• monitoring and indicating

	AC BTC [Bus Tie Contactor] 1
	APU generator contactor
	both DC tie contactors
	BUS tie contactor (also called system isolation contactor, SIC)
	external power contactor B
ECMU 2	GLC [Generator Line Contactor] 2
	AC BTC [Bus Tie Contactor] 2
	external power contactor A
	both DC tie contactors

Failures

ELEC ECMU 1(2) FAULT

- there is no change to the AC configuration - there is a change in DC configuration
