The engine driven generators (2), driven by IDGs, supply 115 kVA 3 phase 115/200 volt 400 hertz electrical power. The APU generator produces the same output as the engine driven generators.
The generators are each driven by a GCU [Generator Control Unit] , which:
Each engine driven generator supplies its associated bus via its GLC [Generator Line Contactor] . Input from both the GCU and the ECMU is required to close a GLC, although once the GLC is closed, the ECMU is no longer required (the GLC is a self holding relay).
