Window Heat

On each side of the flight deck, electrical heating is used to demist the 2 side windows and anti-ice the windshield. The windshield heating operates at low power on the ground and normal power in-flight. One WHC [Window Heat Computers] on each side regulates the system.

Window heating comes on when:

• automatically, with 1 engine running or in-flight
• manually, with PROBE/WINDOW HEAT pushbutton switches ON
