For aircraft above 5,700kg or with a capacity of at least 12 people standard weights may be used.

Aerodromes intended to be used for landing or as an alternate must have:
- air traffic control service or aerodrome flight information service (including reported met conditions)
- VHF radio
- at least one of the following navaids (note that the equipment need not be serviceable at the time):
- VOR
- NDB
- DME
- radar
The following occurrences are reportable:
- those involving damage to the aircraft;
- those involving injury to a person;
- those involving the impairment during a flight of the capacity of a member of the flight crew;
- those involving the use in flight of any procedures taken for the purpose of overcoming an emergency;
- those involving the failure of an aircraft system;
- those arising from the control of an aircraft in flight by its flight crew;
- those arising from failure or inadequacy of facilities or services on the ground;
- those arising from the loading or the carriage of passengers, cargo or fuel;
and those not covered above which constitute an occurrence endangering, or which if not corrected would endanger, the safety of the aircraft, its occupants or any other person.
A report to the Chief Executive is required within 96 hours.
