- Private flying in aircraft under 1,600kg does not count towards flight time limitations.
- "Day" means a continuous period of 24hr beginning at midnight UTC.
The operator must have the previous 28 days of flight times, and they must be retained for 12 months.
A crewmember must be aware of their last 28 days of flight times.
A person shall not begin a flight if the aggregrate of previous flight times:
- during the previous 28 days (ending on the day the flight begins) exceeds 100hrs; or
- during the previous 12 calendar months (ending at the end of the previous month) exceeds 900hrs.
Note that during any 12 month period flight times could be as high as 1000hrs or more.
