Starting and ground operations of engines

An aircraft engine shall not be started or operated within:

• 5m of a sealed building;
• 8m of another aircraft;
• 15m of an exposed public area; or
• 15m of an unsealed building.

Whenever anything is within a 15° arc behind the engines, must be clear by:

• 30m using taxiing thrust; or
• 46m using break away thrust.
