Use the quotes markup to indent the paragraph and place a vertical line to the left. Quotes are also commonly used as change bars, to highlight text that has recently been amended.

The quote markup character (>) must be the first character on a new line.

this text has been amended
You can use the quotes markup to denote quoted text, or highlight amendments to text. Normal paragraph formatting markups can be used in the quoted text.
