Brakes

The main landing gear are equipped with electronically controlled and hydraulically powered carbon-composite brakes. There are also brake wear indicators, and fusible plugs which melt and reduce tire pressure safely if temperatures are between 691°C and 749°C.

Normal brake temperatures are up to 251°C. From 252°C to 840°C brake cooling will be required.

Emergency parking brake

Allows brake operation even with hydraulic pressure loss. Pressure is used from the accumulators. The parking brake is set with the handle at 60°.
