Ailerons

Inboard ailerons are normally controlled by PRIM 1 (LH) and PRIM 2 (RH). Outboard ailerons are normally controlled by PRIM 3.

If the RAT is deployed, the outboard ailerons are in damping mode.

The ailerons are deflected down when flaps are extended (aileron droop). There are 2 neutral positions for aileron droop: one for CONF 1+F, the other for CONF 2, 3, FULL.

Servojacks

Each aileron has 2 electrically controlled hydraulic servojacks. They operate 2 modes:

  • Active - jack position is electrically controlled
  • Damping - jack follows surface movement
