Backup Control Module

The A330E has 1 backup control module computer. It provides:

• yaw damping
• direct rudder command (using rudder pedals)

It does not provide turn coordination.

The BCM is activated when there is:

• total loss of electrical power
• loss of rudder control due to PRIM or SEC failure
