Nose Wheel Steering

Provided by 2 actuators, powered by the green system and electrically signalled by the BSCU.

With the nose wheel steering selector on the nose wheel in the towing position, nose wheel steering is not possible from the cockpit. NW STRG DISC is displayed. If 1 engine is running, NW STRG DISC is displayed.

For pushback and towing, the nose wheel steering angle is limited to 60°. During taxi, the nose wheel steering angle is limited to 65°/72°. Nose wheel steering self centers above 100 kts for landing, and above 150 kts for takeoff.

Rudder pedals provide up to 6° nose wheel deflection at low speed, reducing to 0° at 100 kts where control is 100% rudder.
