Engine Precautions
Starting and ground operations of engines
An aircraft engine shall not be started or operated within:
- 5m of a sealed building;
- 8m of another aircraft;
- 15m of an exposed public area; or
- 15m of an unsealed building.
Whenever anything is within a 15° arc behind the engines, must be clear by:
- 30m using taxiing thrust; or
- 46m using break away thrust.
