FMS

Flight management system


FMS 1 is located in MAU 2 and is powered by DC Bus 2, and FMS 2 is located in MAU 3 and is powered from DC ESS Bus. The MCDUs are the interface between the flight crew and the FMS. In an electrical emergency the FMS 2 is powered with MCDU 2. In normal operation, MCDU 1 interfaces directly with FMS 1, MCDU 2 interfaces with FMS 2, and the 2 FMSs talk together (dual mode)

  • 2 processor modules with FMS software
  • 1 database module
